Arcata is home base. We're located on Samoa Boulevard, a few minutes from the Arcata Plaza, and the majority of our project visits don't require a drive longer than a podcast episode. Working in your own town has practical benefits, we know the building inspectors, we know the lumber yards, and we can be onsite quickly when something needs attention.
Arcata's housing stock is a mix that keeps the work interesting. Mid-century homes near the university campus, restored Victorians around the Plaza, newer infill construction toward the bay, and coastal cottages out by the marsh, each requires a different approach to siding, weatherproofing, and material selection. Salt air and persistent fog mean fiber cement and properly-sealed cedar both perform well here, while thinner cladding products tend to age fast.
We're based right here, so there's no travel time to factor in. Most Arcata project visits happen the same day you call.
We bring the same approach to every Arcata project, careful prep, the right materials for the conditions, and a finish that holds up.
A free site visit, a detailed estimate, and a real timeline. We're stoked to work with you.
