When the existing siding has reached the end of its service life, a full re-side is often more cost-effective than chasing repairs. We strip everything down, address what's underneath, and install the right product for your home's exposure.
Most homes get sided once at construction and then re-sided forty years later when the original product fails. That second time is the chance to upgrade the weather barrier, fix anything that's been quietly failing for decades, integrate new flashing properly, and pick a material that suits the next forty years of climate.
We treat re-sides like the long-term decision they are. The product selection conversation is real, fiber cement isn't always the right call, and engineered wood has its own trade-offs. We help you pick based on your exposure and your tolerance for maintenance, not what we have on the truck.
Pricing varies by project size and material, but the scope below is standard. We don't unbundle the parts that protect the house.
Walk the home, discuss exposure, maintenance tolerance, look, and budget. Recommend products honestly, we install several and aren't tied to one brand.
Strip existing siding cleanly. Inventory any rot, water damage, or framing issues. Price repair work transparently before we move forward.
New weather-resistive barrier (typically Tyvek), self-adhered flashing at every penetration, and proper integration with roof and foundation transitions.
If the wall is open, this is the time. We can add rigid foam, dense-pack cellulose, or work with your insulation contractor, meaningful efficiency gains in a damp climate.
Correct fastening, correct overlap, factory-finish handling. Trim and corner work integrated, not patched on.
Caulk, paint touch-up, and a clear handoff documenting the products installed and their manufacturer warranties.
A full re-side project on a craftsman-style home. The tear-off opened up framing that had been quietly compromised by decades of failed flashing, addressed before any new siding went on. New weather-resistive barrier, new flashing at every penetration, and new lap siding installed to match the home's original character. The finished result is what the homeowner sees; the work behind the wall is what makes it last.

We install the products we trust to hold up on the North Coast. Nobody pays us to recommend them. We use them because they last.
