Fiber cement, wood, and engineered wood siding for new construction and existing homes across Humboldt County. Installed with the flashing, weather barrier, and trim work that determine whether your siding lasts a decade, or four.
The siding you see, the lap, the panels, the trim, is the last thing that goes on the wall. Most of the work that determines how long it lasts happens before that: removing what's there, dealing with what's underneath, integrating the house wrap, flashing the windows and doors correctly, and making sure water has a path to drain when it inevitably gets behind the cladding.
On the Humboldt coast, "inevitably" is the right word. Salt air, fog, and a hundred-plus inches of rain a year don't make exceptions for shortcuts. We install siding the way we'd install it on our own homes, because some of us have.
Pricing varies by home size and material, but the scope below is standard on every installation. We don't unbundle the parts that protect the house.
Remove existing siding, document any rot, water damage, or framing issues found underneath, and price repair work transparently before we proceed.
Install or replace the weather-resistive barrier (typically Tyvek), with self-adhered flashing at every window, door, and penetration. Lapped correctly so water sheds outward.
Fiber cement, engineered wood, or natural wood. We help you pick based on exposure, maintenance tolerance, budget, and the look you want, not what we have on the truck.
Proper fastening pattern, correct overlap, factory-finish handling, and clean cuts at every transition. Trim, corner boards, and window casings integrated, not patched on.
Backer rod and exterior-grade caulk where the spec calls for it. Touch-up paint or full-finish coats where applicable. Edges and seams sealed for the long term.
Daily site cleanup during the project. Final cleanup, dump-runs, and a punch-list walk-through with you before we call it done.
A fallen tree took out a section of soffit, fascia, and lap siding on a craftsman-style home. We opened up the affected area, replaced the damaged sheathing, integrated new flashing into the existing weather barrier, and matched the original siding profile so the repair reads as nothing more than the rest of the house.

We install the products we trust to hold up on the North Coast. Nobody pays us to recommend them. We use them because they last.
