Trinidad is about 25 minutes north of Arcata, perched right on the coast, and the homes here take some of the most direct exposure on the North Coast. Working in Trinidad means taking salt air, wind, and fog seriously at every layer of the wall, not just the top one.
The combination of coastal exposure, fog, and dramatic terrain makes Trinidad one of the more demanding markets we work in. Fiber cement is almost the default here for new installations and replacements, and natural wood needs constant attention to hold up against the salt and wind. The houses themselves range from coastal cottages to architectural homes built into the cliffs, each with its own siding considerations.
Trinidad is about 25 minutes north of Arcata along Highway 101 and Patrick's Point Drive.
We bring the same approach to every Trinidad project, careful prep, the right materials for the conditions, and a finish that holds up.
